Nov. 11, 2018 - Moore contributes vocals to song, "Logic," by Supervised

Kevin Moore has contributed vocals to a 6:28 song, titled "Logic," by the California-based progressive rock band Supervised.  The song is the third track on the band's self-titled debut album.

"Supervised is the musical brain of Bruno Marinho," according to the band's Bandcamp page.  "The self-titled debut album explores and mixes influences from classic and modern progressive rock in addition to experimental elements.  The intention of the debut album was to cover a diversity of styles and elements while trying to achieve a balanced and concise language between instrumental sings and vocal songs."

Supervised consists of Bruno Marinho on guitar, drums, bass and keyboards, and Roberto Greco on bass and vocals.  Other guest musicians on the album include Eric Gillette of The Neal Morse Band.

Kevin Moore has posted a new 3:30 demo song, titled "After All Even You," through his Chroma Key Patreon campaign, which launched in 2015 and invited fans to pledge an amount of their choosing to help fund new music.

"Here's the final, tagged version of 'After All Even You,'" Moore said in a post on Patreon.  I thought the mix sounded good so I didn't make any changes (except for fixing the fade, which was cut off on the preview)."

The tune is available in MP3, FLAC and M4A (Apple Lossless) formats with lyrics and patron names embedded in the files.  In addition, Moore said he is still planning to release a bonus track for Chroma Key Enablers ($5 pledgers), and multitrack stems and production notes for Chroma Key Collaborators ($10 pledgers).

April 2, 2018 - Moore shares 10th CK demo, "Landslide," on Patreon
Kevin Moore has posted a new 3:53 demo song, titled "Landslide," through his Chroma Key Patreon campaign, which launched in 2015 and invited fans to pledge an amount of their choosing to help fund new music.  The keyboardist shared a preview version of the demo yesterday under the title "Our Landslide," with today's final version including "a new mix (most notably louder vocals)," he said in a post on Patreon.

"This one started out with some drum programming I did on my Ableton Push," Moore wrote.  "Then I started messing around with a Rhodes sound, trying to come up with chord progressions that are a little more unusual than what I usually write.  A lot of the synths were done on the Deepmind12 polyphonic analog synth."

March 13, 2018 - Moore shares ninth CK demo, "Elephant Boy" on Patreon

Kevin Moore has posted a new 3:49 demo song, titled "Elephant Boy," through his Chroma Key Patreon campaign, which launched in 2015 and invited fans to pledge an amount of their choosing to help fund new music.  The keyboardist originally shared a preview version of the demo last month, but then decided to go back and add vocals "by popular demand," he wrote.

"Here's a version of Elephant Boy with vocals, as promised," Moore said in a post on Patreon.  "This song started out as an acoustic guitar riff, and I recorded all the guitar on my Ovation electric acoustic.  But then I tried running the guitar track through an amp simulator and the results were really grungy, so I went with it.  I also played violin on this one (just bowed 16th notes on an E) and then varied the pitch throughout the song in Ableton."

Feb. 4, 2018 - Moore shares eighth CK demo, "Away," on Patreon

Kevin Moore has posted a new 3:29 demo song, titled "Away," through his Chroma Key Patreon campaign, which launched in 2015 and invited fans to pledge an amount of their choosing to help fund new music.  The track comes nearly two months after Moore shared the demo song "Kings Park Youth," which was the first he has ever created solely using a guitar, he said.

"So this is my second guitar-based Patreon demo," Moore said in a post on Patreon.  "I performed it on my not-so-trusty Ovation 1867 Legend electric acoustic.  I recorded directly from the guitar's output, and double-tracked it.  Then I duplicated both tracks and pitched them up an octave, so it kind of sounds like a 12-string.  Lots of mellotron sounds on this one (vibes, strings flute).  The song kind of echoes Graveyard Mountain Home in sound and sentiment, albeit with a more conflicted narrator..."
